Hi Friend!
August tends to sneak up on us! One minute summer feels wide open, and the next the calendar is full of back to school plans, last minute trips, and the busy season, and on top of it all, it's HOT. 🥵 So this month, we're making the most of the last few days of summer before fall gets here!
Events happening this month:
Meet Me in St. Louis
August 6th-13th | The Muny
This all-time Muny favorite returns after eight years! As the Smith family prepares for the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, a sudden cross-country move threatens to upend everything.
Groovin' in the Garden
August 14th | The Magic House
Bring a blanket and sit back and relax or get up and dance to live music in the front Play Garden. In addition to great music, enjoy frozen custard from Andy’s Frozen Custard (while supplies last) and private playtime throughout the entire Museum!
Festival of Nations
August 29th - 30th | Tower Grove Park
80+ countries are represented across more than 100 vendors, dozens of stage performances and interactive experiences!
When the heat index says "stay inside," these local spots are calling your name:
The Magic House: A '90s Summer — Friendship bracelets, spin art, and sidewalk chalk take over the Front Play Garden, plus all the hands-on exhibits inside to keep little ones busy (and cool) for hours.
Little's Loft Play Café — A cozy, community-centered play café where the kids get a "yes space" to play freely while you actually get to sit down with a coffee and a croissant. Reservation-based, so it stays calm and clean.
Lava Island — A 30,000+ sq ft tropical-themed indoor playground with a multi-level jungle gym, slides, trampolines, and a café. Basically the biggest indoor jungle gym in the region, and it's screen-free.
Little Diggers — An indoor construction-themed sandbox with tons of sand, ride-on excavators, and construction toys for kids 7 and under. Clean, sensory-rich, and a total hit for the little builders in your life.
Between these four spots, you've got a full week of AC-approved fun mapped out. 🙌
